When choosing your next your next wireless carrier, you may want to consider the following story.
Verizon Communications, the nation’s second-largest telecom company, told congressional investigators that it has provided customers’ telephone records to federal authorities in emergency cases without court orders hundreds of times since 2005.
Verizon also disclosed that the FBI, using administrative subpoenas, sought information identifying not just a person making a call, but all the people that customer called, as well as the people those people called. Verizon does not keep data on this “two-generation community of interest” for customers, but the request highlights the broad reach of the government’s quest for data.
From January 2005 to September 2007, Verizon provided data to federal authorities on an emergency basis 720 times, it said in the letter. The records included Internet protocol addresses as well as phone data…. Verizon and AT&T said it was not their role to second-guess the legitimacy of emergency government requests.
Now you might say that you don’t care because you have nothing to hide but that’s NOT the point. The point IS that your privacy is being invaded and your consumer rights (as well as your CONSTITUTIONAL rights are being stripped away. All in the name of bush’s self made faux war on terror.
My question is: Where do you draw the line?
When will you say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH?
How many of your rights will you allow to be stolen from you before you FINALLY get it?
This isn’t a story about a stupid little phone company. It is FAR BIGGER than that. This is a story about the United States Constitution. Remember what that is?
Remember what that once stood for?
The suppression of free speech and testimony in the congressional committee in charge of protecting our civil liberties shows the Republican’s power grab has no limits.
And no decency.
Everyday it seems like our rights as Americans are being stripped away by the bush administration. From our right to free speech to wiretaps on our phones, it has become apparent that the GOP doesn’t give a rats ass about you, me or the Constitution.
Now big business is getting involved. Its high time that we show big business that we are Fed Up and not going to take it anymore. We the people NEED to boycott the Verizons and Wal-Marts of the world and, as Americans put these companies out of business.

The media exposed which companies gave out your information to the government. So why do business with these communist companies? Most people say, "I dont have anything to hide".
SO WHAT! The bottom line is...when you subscribe to these companies you are subscribing to communism. Give this govt. an inch they'll take a mile. History proves this.
Please my fellow Americans quit giving your hard earned money to communist companies. If you can't live without these companies and you really enjoy giving them your money maybe living in China would suit you better.
