The dark underbelly of America contains numerous warts, boils, and cancerous tumors, inflicted by that loathsome grimoire of madness that the elected leaders of our nation have become.

Healthcare For Americans

In congress, there is a bill, H.R. 676 that offers a way for affordable health insurance in America, the only industrialized country in the world that does not care for its citizens health needs.

Most citizens feel that this bill needs to pass because it is unacceptable to live in America while countries like France, Germany, Mexico and Cuba have better health care for their citizens than we do.

But bush’s “War on Terror” is eating away at countless billions of dollars to take care of Iraqi’s that don’t even want us in their country anymore. So let’s start our own little war against the government and insurance companies. The difference between bush’s illegal war and ours will be a war where combatants will not blow each other up; it will be peaceful and will actually mean something.

But the wealthy insurance companies will not make it easy for us. They have the financial backing to really put a monkey wrench in our works but we have something that they do not.
Common sense.

If you, as an American citizen, are tired of not getting the health care that you need or paying overly inflated costs for prescribed medication, take a close look at H.R. 676.

The opponents of national health care, mostly those who are badly misinformed or paid agents of big corporations that are now making huge profits off of the current system by denying needed care to millions, will try to scare you by calling it “socialized medicine”. You’re going to hear that a lot in the coming months but don't be fooled; nothing could be farther from the truth. In fact, the goal of this program is simply to create a fair and equitable single payer health care plan that all Americans can afford and benefit from while leaving most of the existing structure of practicing health care professionals and facilities completely alone.

You choose your doctors, your hospitals and need no permission from anyone to go see them whenever necessary. No exclusions, no pre-existing conditions, no denied claims, just top rate, affordable, professional care for you and your family including prescription drugs, mental health AND dental services in addition to long term care, whenever you need it.

But that sounds awfully familiar to the health care plan that Hillary Clinton tried to push through when Bill was first elected in what seems like an eternity ago and a whole different world. The drug companies as well as her own government jumped quickly to squelch her voice by what some people consider bribery.

Was Hillary paid off???

That’s the subject for a different article.

There are organizations out there today that are in favor of national health insurance. You probably haven't heard about too many of them because none of them have any real plan of action designed to actually make national health insurance a reality.

Please take a few minutes to contact your Representative to ask him/her to co-sponsor H.R.676 The United States National Healthcare Insurance Act. But whatever you do, keep informed and keep working for H.R. 676. Congress must have the support of courageous people at home to muster the courage for historic legislation.

American citizens are essential to America’s progress.

Liberals got women the right to vote.

Liberals got African-Americans the right to vote.

Liberals created Social Security and lifted millions of elderly people out of poverty.

Liberals ended segregation.

Liberals passed the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act.

Liberals created Medicare.

Liberals passed the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act.

What did the ignorant conservatives do?

They opposed them on every one of those things.

Every damn one!

So when you try to hurl that label at my feet, 'Liberal,' as if it were something to be ashamed of, something dirty, something to run away from, it won't work because I will pick up that label and I will wear it as a badge of honor.
